Human Intelligence is ethos, pathos, and logos. What confounds me is that there was time to devote developing ideas.

There are creatures, such as the octopus, that are intelligent.

Intelligence is survival.

Survival is definitely a key source code of intelligence. And once we have established the dynamic to survive in our environment, we can develop our instincts of natural thought to bring light unto the dark areas of our collective group behaviors. Through our affinity to define what reality is we communicate, and yet we have social systems (e.g. media & politics) which steer the social narrative, for good and destructive purposes. Instead of "influencing" people to consume, for example, perhaps it is better to influence people to firstly recognize that we have [HI] and that alone when expressed amongst our tribe can become beneficial; eventually we then become able to conquer a "Putin war machine" or an "Israeli - Hamas" hatred and break the cycles of xenophobia: one against the other. It takes plenty of patience to break aberrant thoughts and to develop and recognize our capacity for [HI]. /s/

HI learned to harness fire for basic needs, but unleashed it has the power to destroy. AI is nothing without HI.

HI created AI just it created the wheel, tools, antibiotics, and weapons. Each of these capable of making life better and also of being used to cause harm. It is HI that decides.

No need to apologize about Darwinism :). He established a view that some things come from others. Intelligence is abundant in our various eco-systems and observed everywhere, but perhaps, not practiced often enough! /s/
